Mini cocktail party last weekend - some photos and Mike’s blog entry :Picture_039Picture_034Picture_032

Shaken and Stirred..

So our dinner and cocktails with some friends over the weekend went well. I managed to do myself some justice in that my old bartending skills whilst a little rusty, are still enough to make a decent watermelon martini - although my first attempt was a bit of a washout. I do miss the days I used to work in Otto though. There was something about working there that just didn’t make it feel as though it was work. You could almost look forward to shaking and stirring your way through till 1am in the morning AND get paid good money for it.Picture_040_2

My first attempt at making Cottage pie on Sunday

Sorry I’m too lazy to update my blog probably.. but I would like to find out if there’s way to stop receiving those x’mas shopping discount code and vouchers.. I keep getting them it’s a really annoying especially when I get the same one about 20 times!! ARRGGGGGG…

Spot the difference…

Needless to say.. our sofa has finally turned up! :)

Same colour, same style and nearly the same size! But this is a double sofa bed with extra storage unit. Love it! Unfortunately, covers are in suedette material and non-removable so no denim jeans please :p

Is it Christmas yet?!

So it’s been a productive week for me this week.. well, at the personal level anyway. Work? What’s work? Haven’t really done much this week.. I spent majority of my time surfing the internet mainly trying to organise Christmas… I’m quite pleased I have sorted out the budget, planned out exactly what to get for everyone and even bought some of the presents already (god, I’m so organised). My BLACK tree decorations arrived yesterday, I’m all set for Christmas!! Yes, it’s only 10th Nov today I’m abit mad I know, but I love Christmas!!

I have also been thinking about b’day/x’mas pressies for myself, and I could do with some more skincare and make-up, so I’m adding the following to my wish-list:

Clarins hydration plus moisture lotion SPF15

Clarins mutli-active night lotion

Clarins retractable brow definer 01 brun noir

Clarins pure volume mascara 01 pure black

Last year I had body lotion on my wish list and I ended up getting 4 different ones, plus numbers of shower gel and bath oil etc haha.. which is great!! My bathroom cabinet is well stocked up. I’m still trying to use them up :)

latest update..

Haven’t been updating my blog for some time now, so what’s been happening..

My boss flown to Hong Kong traveling by the HK Oasis airline couple of weeks ago, he somehow managed to get a return business ticket for only £75 but guess what.. the flight going out was cancelled and all the passengers were sent home! hee hee.. that would stop him doing everything on the cheap! Unfortunately, no more traveling Upper class for us now since we are not making any money, even our prima donna sales person & designers only allowed on EasyJet going on their shopping trips nowadays

Me and Mike managed to get a lot more out of our old sofa than just money for couple of cushions, the guy who bought it from us were so pleased with it aswell, seriously, with the money he paid for ours it would be enough to get brand new one! Well, but I’m not complaining :) I have used some of the $$ to treat myself with pair of UGG boots (Mike doesn’t know it yet) I cannot believe they are like 50% cheaper getting them direct from Australia, downside is of course.. I’m still waiting for them to be delivered, arrggg!

I’m getting the short version in chestnut, nice??!

Oh.. and we been living without a sofa for past two weeks, cos the bloody new sofa was broken! the delivery boys broke it!! The replacement should be with us this weekend and I’m keeping my fingers crossed!! Can’t wait to put my new cushions on it and I think they will go well together, unfortunately, I have not had any luck finding solid jet black colour cushions so I might have to make my own… speaking of black, although I have agreed with Mike that I will let him decorate our Christmas tree this time, but I have already decided on a this year’s theme/colour scheme.. and guess what the colour is?! Black!! with a hint of silver and white, how sophisticated!!

and and and.. the biggest news of all!

I have got a new job!! I haven’t yet sign the contract but I can’t wait to spread the great news! I’m going to be Sales & Merchandise Manager, there will be lots of travelling involved to the Far East and Middle East, I’m well excited about it but at the same time, I’m quite nervous too as I have taken on a massive role with so much more responsibilities, so guys.. stop asking me to buy champagne until I have completed my 6 months probation period. If all goes well, we could be relocating soon as my office is based in North London, I don’t know how long I can cope with the 4 hours journey each day.. will see!

My new job is possibly the best 30th birthday present I can ever wish for.. Yes I’m turning 30 next month!! I have already been asked about presents.. so here you go:

1/ leather travel document wallet

2/ champagne flute - LSA Moya glass set of 6 http://www.oliverbonas.com/OliverBonasSite/product/19248.htm

3/ wine glass - LSA Elina http://www.oliverbonas.com/OliverBonasSite/product/370912.htm

or replace the one I have broken - Wedgwood Vera Wang blanc sur blanc wine glass (it was x’mas present from my sister last year which lasted 6 months) It might have been discontinued as I couldn’t find it anywhere now except at ebay selling a set of 6 at 81 quid!

4/ glass/clear champagne bucket

5/ I also want North Face Nuptse jacket but I have asked my sister to look for it in HK, or I might wait till I get to Canada (everything is so over-priced in uk just not worth it)

Hmm.. can’t think of anything else so that’s it for now
