Halloween

Friday, October 28th, 2005

I have never had a Halloween party before and we are not having one neither this year… and don’t think there will be any kiddies turning up for trick or treat being at the top floor of the block!

But Mike promised me a pumpkin lantern (if he remember that is, knowing what his memory is like)

I’m going to leave it by the window sill to scare off any evil spirit, and of course we can just waste the contain of a pumpkin, so Mike is making pumpkin pie for dinner. Sounds cool!!

Mike’s great isn’t he?? :)

Woo hoo!!

Thursday, October 27th, 2005

This year’s bonus is being paid into my account today (woo hoo!!) but the sad thing is that one third of my hard earn money have already gone down the drain, for god knows what.. prehaps funding the Queen’s luxury life style… for those unemployed lazy buggars so they can sit at home comfortably and do fuck all..

It’s so unfair I tell you… ARG!!

I am prefectly normal…

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005
After number of tests and examinations, I have been told I have entirely normal and symmetrical hearing in both ears and there isn’t any evidence of disease of the ears. I have healthy looking eardrums which moves normally and this suggested there’s no underlying pressure problem.
So in other word they haven’t been able to find the reason why I have this funny pressurized sensation I have experienced, exactly how you would feel when you are on the plane during take off or landing…
The worse examination I had was when surgeon insert a long thin tube down my nostril all the way down to my throat to check the back of my nose for tumour or anything unusual.. yuck! never again!

Just another Friday

Friday, October 21st, 2005
someone please tell me how much calories I have consumed this afternoon…
tuna nicoise salad
half of 15′ pizza
half a slice of lemon cheesecake
half a slice of chocolate & vanilla cheesecake
one and a half glass of cabernet sauvignon
and wash them all down with a nice cup of tea! Hmmm… satisfying!! but is there anymore wine please??

Couple of photos from our neighbour’s wedding last weekend

One of the best wedding I have been to actually, fantastic atmosphere, everyone was on the dance floor all night.

Also, it’s quite good catching up with the neighbours, we don’t normally get to chat about anything other than issues like the freehold and the management company (bla bla bla)

Ok.. only one more wedding to go this year! *phew*

Oh and a Christening actually (hahah more excuse to drink) but hopefully that’s it for the year, my quota is up!

I shall announce the ‘best wedding’ award soon!

Right or left brain?

Tuesday, October 18th, 2005

Do you know…

How you process information, solve problems and relate to others - affecting everything from work to hobbies and relationships, is determines by whether your left or right brain is more dominant.
Most people use a combination of all four quadrants of the brain but tend to have a dominant style, so which one are you? check out these typical characteristics:
If you are a lower left thinker - you are more controlled, systematic, disciplined, punctual, tidy, thrive on routine
Upper left - analytical, mathematical, logical, problem-solver but can over analyse
Lower right - emotional, spiritual, thrive on people and communication
Upper right - very visual, risk-taker, easily bored, attracted by fun and new ideas
Me, I am definitely a lower-left brainer. I always tend to get frustrated with dis-organised people, but now I know they are just lack of lower-left brain power! perhaps I should be more sympathetic with these poeple?
p.s Mike is a upper left brainer and Biff is a upper right

chocolate is all I care

Thursday, October 13th, 2005
Thanks to the ‘reliable’ public transport I’m once again forced to travel to Elephant & Castle then walked back to office for the second time this week. Elephant & Castle is NOT a safe place to be even in the daylight, I can’t believe I was so ‘nearly’ moved to the neighbourhood of this bizarre place that’s surrounded by huge, ugly council blocks, and that 60’s style red shopping mall! I don’t care what regeneration plans they have going on there but I am avoiding getting anywhere near it if I can help it.
Nevertheles, I have burned off extra calories from that 25 minutes walk meaning I can reward myself with chocolate today! yippeee..

Half a bucket

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005
Anyone done ‘test the national English literature’ test on TV on Saturday night? I have missed the beginning of the program and I’ve only completed 43 questions. Out of the 43 I have only managed to answer 22 correctly, which is poor really! It just shows how awful my English is!
Ironically, I have been told by number of people that I have these funny accent when I speak Chinese nowadays.
There’s a Chinese saying ‘half a bucket of water’, meaning insufficient knowledge. So that says, I have half a bucket of Chinese and half a bucket or English! Not good!

ARRGG!!

Wednesday, October 5th, 2005

I cannot believe Stephen just walked out… he phone up sick on Monday and we haven’t heard from him since!

Although he’s due to leave anyway next Tuesday but he hasn’t yet hand over the work, so here I am… trying to find my head round a pile of mess!! ARGGG!! I have no respect for people like this!!

Oh well.. at least we don’t have to share the £2k cash with him. We won the capital radio game last night (heeheehehe) and we have loads of ‘congratulation’ phone calls this morning.

James only managed to get one question right, one of the question he didn’t get was ‘who is the youngest employee and what’s the age’

James went ‘it’s Josephine’ then Richard Bacon (the presenter) said ‘yes, and how old is she?’ and James said ‘oh oh.. 24!’

haha, I’m flattered!

Anyway, we are going out for a meal as a company then split the rest and I’m spending it on my new wardrobe me think!
