Sorry everyone if you don’t care less about chinchilla but it’s all I can think of at the moment…

Have been doing some research on them and apparently, these little thing can live up to 15 years (wow)…. They are nocturnal and will sleep most of the day, they only need to be out couple of hours in the evening everyday, it would be ideal for us really!

They are not happy alone so expert suggests getting two at the same time if possible but would I be able to handle two at the same time?! hee hee..if I’m calling one Chilli the other will have to be called Pepper, or Chocolate and Donut, or Mike junior and Jo junior?

Also you should be careful when playing with them, because frightened chinchilla will stand on their back legs and spray urine in the face of any potential threat! (haha, Biff should stay away from my Chilli & Pepper, hahaha)

The only factor we need to consider is the size of the cage, the minimum cage size for a pair should be 1m x 1.5m and 1.3m tall as they are very active animal and they need loads of free space… unless we sort out accommodation we are not getting one…. or perhaps Mike would allow one of our bathrooms to be transformed into a chinchilla room??

aawwww..just look at this little cutie, isn’t he sweet??
